Client Reviews
“Jennifer is a wonderful woman! She is so kind, gentle and highly highly skilled. Her passion and knowledge for her field is impressive, and I trust her completely.
She doesn’t just hear what you are saying, she really listens, analyses and interprets your thoughts/feelings/symptoms to enable her to deliver exactly what you never knew you needed.
I have no words for how grateful I am to have met Jennifer. If you are having health issues and your doctor is just shoving more prescriptions at you without anything actually helping the root cause, it is time to try something different.
I have recommended Jennifer to all of my friends and family, and to anyone who will listen!”
— Jade M.Jennifer has a tremendous depth of knowledge, pulling all the best practices from both ancient and contemporary healing traditions. She is both skillful and beautifully humble about her gifts. You can also tell that Jennifer is dedicated to life-long learning.
Highly, HIGHLY recommend!
— Elle B.Jennifer is a calming and talented healer. I was experiencing edema in my ankles, chronic bloating, migraines, vertigo, and irritable bowels. She helped to drastically reduce the symptoms from these issues that had become debilitating. By utilizing her listening and treatment skills, she also helped me with issues that other seasoned acupuncturists were not able to shift.
— Marie N.…[Jennifer] has taught me so much about myself and how to lead a more healthier lifestyle naturally through nutrition and acupuncture. I joined the 5 Method program to try to have less anxiety and less stress. I don't normally like to journal but I found myself really pouring things out in my journal through the lessons. You really connect with things that have been stuck deep inside and can finally let go of. I'm looking forward to continuing my journey to a healthier and more relaxed me! Thank you Jennifer!

And Then, the Retreat
Move through all five seasons and the year doesn't end in a checklist. It ends with an invitation: an in-person retreat I'm building in México, where the women who've done this work all year come together, in person, to close the circle.
I asked, “If you were talking to a woman who was on the fence about working with me, what would you want her to know?”
And they answered…
I would tell her that you are incredibly skilled and intuitive. It’s rare to find someone who listens that deeply while also knowing exactly what your body needs.
— Sarah F.I would want her to know that there is no fear, no pain, no shame - nothing negative. Everything associated with you is ALL positive.
You are truly a blessing!

Meet the Founder
Licensed Acupuncturist | Educator | Creator of the 5 Element Method
For over a decade, I have guided women through the art and science of living seasonally. In the last several years, that work has centered on one truth I did not expect to learn from the inside: Black women in perimenopause are dismissed more often, and helped less, than almost anyone else in this transition.
I know it firsthand. My joints ached in ways no one could explain. I woke at 3am like clockwork, wide awake for no reason I could name. I was short with people I loved and could not tell if it was me or my hormones, and no one in a white coat seemed interested in finding out. My training in Chinese medicine gave me the language my doctors did not: Liver Qi stagnation, Kidney Yin running thin, a body moving into a new season and asking to be met differently.
That is the work now.
I am Dr. Jennifer Taylor Menda, a Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese medicine physician with seven years in clinical practice and nineteen years teaching Anatomy and Physiology at the college level. I built the Five Element Method to give Black women in perimenopause what I needed and could not find: a framework grounded in real physiology, not folklore, that treats the whole person across body, spirit, and season instead of managing one symptom at a time.
Every program I build reflects that belief. Healing happens best when it is gentle, grounded, and built for the body you actually have, not the one a chart says you should have.

Find Flow Through the Seasons:
A 5 Element Transformation Series
True transformation does not happen through force. It unfolds when we align with nature’s rhythm and the deeper intelligence of the body. Each season offers its own invitation to release, restore, and begin again. Join once and stay supported all year.
This isn't twelve months of content. It's a year that's building toward something real, an in-person retreat in México for the women who see it through.
-
Each phase of the year—Winter, Spring, Summer, Late Summer, and Fall—is included in your membership. Weekly check-in templates to track transformation

Not yet, but it's coming. This year-long path is building toward an in-person retreat in México for the women who complete the full wheel. I'll share dates and details as they're locked in. For now, this is where the year begins.
-
Not at all. Each practice is clearly guided and designed for beginners. The intent is to help you reconnect with your body’s signals rather than master a new system.
-
Your membership gives you full access to all materials year-round. You can revisit each program whenever you are ready or move at your own pace.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
Every season includes a 30 min, live (Google Meet) Q&A and teaching call with me directly. You bring your questions, I answer them in real time, and I connect what you're experiencing back to the element we're working with. You're not getting a pre-recorded library and a contact form. You're getting an actual practicing acupuncturist who knows this material clinically and personally.
-
That's exactly what the second month is for. Month one is the 21-day active program. Month two is integration — you're not behind, you're in the process. All materials stay accessible for as long as you're a member, and the seasons cycle, so if life gets loud during Spring, this will be here for you next Spring too.
-
After your 2-month minimum, you can cancel anytime from your account. No calls, no runaround. You keep access through the end of your billing cycle.
